Maniac Drunk Driver Drags Motorbike Along Motorway

It’s not clear what happened in the run-up to the video, although it’s safe to say that the bike will likely never be ridden again

A video has amassed nearly two million views on Facebook showing an allegedly drunk car driver pushing a scooter that’s stuck under their car on the motorway.

There’s not much context to the video, only a comment from the poster which, when translated from Malay (which is a language spoken in Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Singapore), reads; “a drunk driver crashed into a motorcyclist, luckily the motorcyclist managed to jump off..the car's tires are gone”.

The poster goes on to confirm that the bike was lodged under the car and ‘dragged’ for a claimed 500 metres. All the while the driver kept their foot down, and was seen in the video driving with no tyres on the right-hand side of the vehicle.

There have been instances of trucks, even here in the UK, ‘hooking up’ cars on the front of their lorries, and while these incidents are rare, there is a reason it can happen. HGV truck cabs have the driver seated high above the road, making what is directly in front of the lorry difficult to spot. That’s not the case here, though, as the driver of the car, which is a Honda HR-V, should be well positioned to see what is going on around them. And should that not be the case, the chasing pack of cars and motorcycles should be another clue that something is wrong.
