The wraps have been pulled on the new 2021 Triumph Scrambler 1200 models, including an all-new limited edition Steve McQueen model!
TRIUMPH has just pulled the covers on the latest updates to the popular Triumph Scrambler 1200 models, including the XC, XE & Steve McQueen edition (limited to 1000 numbered units). Enhanced for 2021, these Scramblers look incredible!
All models will share the updated Euro 5 parallel twin 1200cc motor with lower emissions, and an updated Euro 5 exhaust with improved heat distribution thanks to new header geometry, with the cat moved a bit further back - yet still delivering that distinctive scrambler soundtrack. No more toasty thigh from that high scrambler exhaust!
Triumph Scrambler 1200 new Euro 5 motor - just as powerful.
Despite Euro 5 updates to the engine, Triumph has managed to keep the same power figures as on the previous Scrambler models, with peak power of 89 bhp reached @ 7250 rpm (limit is 7500 rpm), and peak torque of 110Nm at a nice and low 4500 rpm.
The Scrambler performance with accompanying soundtrack is what this line has become renowned for. As ever, it’s a torque-rich experience with Scrambler tune, 270º crank angle, SOHC and 8 valves provide you with unchanged performance despite changes to the engine.
There is also said to be marginal fuel consumption improvements thanks to the changes made in the engine department, with a 16-litre tank providing around 4.6 litres per 100 km consumption.
