Supermoto becomes café racer

Ducati Hypermotard 796 re-imagined

A DUCATI Hypermotard 796 might not seem like the prefect starting point for a café racer but it’s hard to fault the result.

Meet ‘Hector’, with one-off bodywork consisting of three sheets of aluminium hammered into shape by hand.

It’s the work of Swiss custom house ‘Be Unique 2.22’ and the bodywork was entirely hand-crafted, including the mahogany veneer panels.

It’s set to be shown at a new ‘contemporary craft’ exhibition called Tresor, in Basel, Switzerland, from September 21-24.
