Former MotoGP rider takes Suzuki’s new Katana for a spin

THE SUZUKI KATANA was the talk of EICMA when it was unveiled at the show last November.

A stylish recreation of an 80s icon and powered by the ever-capable GSX-R 1000 K5 powertrain, the new Katana looks to be one of the most exciting bikes of 2019.

And now, former MotoGP rider Nobuatso Aoki has taken the model for a spin, and seems seriously impressed.

“I couldn’t believe how much fun this bike is,” he comments.

“A proper engine in a proper chassis. And the riding position is fantastic. I was surprised how easy to ride it is.”
