Millepercento’s new Scighera revealed

Hey, Guzzi, here’s how it’s done

NO, we don’t know how to pronounce it, but the new Millepercento Scighera is certainly something of a stunner and clearly shows how easily Moto Guzzi could create a modern naked bike to make the most of its trademark V-twin engine design.

Based on the 1151cc motor from the Griso 8V, the Scighera is the work of boutique bike firm Millepercento, which already makes two other Guzzi-based models, the Alba and BB1. The Scighera gets Millepercento’s own frame, shared with the Alba, which is a tubular steel trellis design, allied to unique styling that’s simple and yet beautifully proportioned.

Those wheels, with thick wire spokes (only 24 of them on each wheel), are from Borrani and there’s the usual combination of Brembo and Ohlins when it comes to brakes and suspension. Can’t go too far wrong there.

The bike might be a ‘special’ but thanks to the stock Guzzi engine it’s Euro3 emissions compliant and Millepercento plans to sell them as complete machines, starting at around €29,000 (£23,455) each.
