Hex Innovate launch ezCAN accessory manager for KTM
The Hex innovate allows you to control four motorcycle accessories and requires no cutting of the KTM loom
ELECTRONICS company Hex Innovate has announced the launch of their ezCAN plug-in accessory manager is now compatible with certain KTM motorcycles.
Priced at £155 (ex VAT), the ezCAN allows riders to add accessories to their bike that requires no cutting of the bike’s wiring loom, helping to retain the bike’s warranty. Instead, the exCAN plugs in to the bike’s CAN bus, allowing the user to connect and control up to four accessories including additional fog lights, airhorns, GPS systems, brake lights, heated kit and a host of other tech.
The kit isn’t available on the full KTM range, but does include the biggest adventure touring bikes and the Super Duke 1290 and Super Duke 1290 GT. Other models covered are 1090, 1190 and 1290 range of adventure machines.
Stephan Thiel – Hex, Founder & CEO said:
‘We developed the HEX ezCAN for KTM because there is a definite need for it. We had so many messages from people, around the world, say that they had seen our products that are compatible with BMW and Harley-Davidson motorcycles, and they wanted something similar for their bikes. To hear that our technology has enhanced the riding community is fantastic. The ezCAN is installable in five minutes and you have the ability to add accessories without voiding your bikes warranty and you don’t need to cut into your electrical harness. It’s not just a static product, it is dynamic. We get requests from individuals that want to incorporate a specific item like a heated jacket or similar. We then discuss it, add it to the development and off we go. You can make it do whatever you like for your motorcycle.’
