MotoGP organisers have finalised the first-ever MotoE rider and regulations in preparation for 2019 by confirming the full 18-bike entry list along with race schedules highlighted by a two-race finale at Misano.
In a detailed release from the FIM, the single-make Energica Ego Corsa bike technical specification was finalised plus key details on the championship. Official MotoE testing gets underway at Jerez on 23-25 November.
The Motorcycle
• Battery capacity around 20 Kwh
• Power: up to 120Kw (around 160 Hp)
• Max speed up to 270km/h
• Brembo brakes, Öhlins suspension, Marchesini wheels
All motorcyles will be identical but some parts, for example the springs, will be adjustable depending on a rider’s preference.
All MotoE machines will be charged using solar panels supplied by Enel with bikes continually being recharged between each session.

The Race Schedule
The MotoE race schedule have been finalised with two free practice session on Friday (FP1 and FP2) followed by one qualifying session on Saturday and the race on Sunday which will take place before the Moto3 race at each event.
The five-round calendar has been confirmed starting at Jerez before heading to Le Mans, Sachsenring, Spielberg and the double-header finale at Misano. The Misano race one will take place on the Saturday after qualifying with race two on Sunday.

Sporting Regulations
Entries: A rider competing in any Grand Prix class is not permitted to participate in any other non-Grand Prix class at the same event. So MotoE riders will not be allowed to race in a Grand Prix class at each of the five dates on the FIM Enel MotoE World Cup calendar.
Testing: There is a ban on testing any electric-powered motorcycle on any racing circuit for all MotoE official riders
Tyre Regulations: Tyre supplier Michelin will be providing one type of front and rear slick tyre and one type front and rear rain tyre per race week-end. The specification may change according the track layout. The number of tyres per specification will be four front slicks and five rears, with an additional three front rain tyres and four rear.
Official winter testing begins at Jerez (23-25 November) followed by two further tests at the same venue on 13-15 March 2019 and 23-25 April 2019.
