Translation error lands Hayden in hot water

A BIT OF mistranslation got Nicky Hayden into potential hot water with team-mate Casey Stoner, after he was reported as describing the Australians departure from Ducati to Honda as “shameful”.

What he really said was “it’s a shame”; but an over-enthusiastic Italian reporter misunderstood the meaning.

Casey Stoner doesn't have a history of tolerating negative comments. It looks like Hayden got away lightly.
