This Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 Gets a Rally-Inspired Makeover
This Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 in France has been given a race feel after undergoing a rally-inspired makeover

French custom motorcycle builder OrMotors has given a Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 a transformation that is nothing short of brilliant as it gets a rally-inspired race look.
Nicknamed ‘Dust Trail’ as part of its new identity, the custom built Himalayan 450 has been transformed not just to create a different look for the small-capacity adventure bike, but to also promote the bike’s off-road potential.
The new Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 was launched in 2024 and features the Indian brand’s first-ever liquid-cooled engine, the Sherpa 450. The new single-cylinder produces 40bhp which is a whopping 54 per cent increase over the old 26bhp 411cc model.
The new engine was coupled with the new Harris Performance twin-spar tubular steel chassis and Showa suspension that comprises 200mm of front and rear travel, the Himalayan 450 is a step forward compared to the previous model and three months into ‘ownership’ of the bike we discussed what the bike does well and what it could do better.

But back to this wild rally-inspired design, which started its custom makeover with replacing the Enfield’s stock 4.5-gallon tank with a flashy red and white 23-liter fuel tank that very quickly formed the identity of the bike and set the tone for the overall construction.
From there, Acerbis fork guards, hand guards, and a bash plate have been added in order to give the bike an even tougher appearance. Orion Porta, the man behind the build for OrMotors, then added the bike’s 43mm stock forks which were upgraded with Andreani internals.
The rear shock comes from French suspension company EMC, while a new full exhaust system was installed by Italian maker HP Corse. The extensive Rally Kit does not stop there as it includes a rally-style seat. The kit also features dual LED headlights with a low-profile screen.
Stay tuned for a long-term review on the Himalayan 450 which will be out soon.
