SW-Motech has added a super-size 55-litre top case to its popular DUSC hard luggage range. From sport riders to tourers and commuters, the new hard luggage top box is intended for most riders out there.

The new DUSC XL offers huge carrying capacity without the need to add unnecessary weight or width. So what can you expect to fit in the all-new 55-litre storage box? Well, SW-Motech claims the DUSC XL can incorporate two XL helmets with communication systems, while it’s no wider than typical motorcycle handlebars.

It’s made from a thermoformed 3mm thick ABS that’s been reinforced with an aluminium frame. As a result, it is expected to provide better durability without weight becoming a problem.

The scratch-resistant shell is engineered to bounce back into shape if struck, which will no doubt sound appealing for adventure riders looking to take the box on a rigorous off-road jaunt.

Another appealing element to this box, although this one will place riders aboard any type of bike in the UK, is that the storage box claims to be fully waterproof and boasts features like EVA inlays to protect helmets and delicate items, integrated lashing points, and convenient carrying handles.

Upgrades can be made through optional accessories including a passenger backrest, lid nets, and internal organizing hooks. A locking mechanism, which is not sold as standard makes for improved fastening

The DUSC XL mounts to SW-Motech's Adventure Rack and Street Rack systems, and is available for a wide range of motorcycles. You can check if your motorcycle complies with it on the SW-Motech website.

The 55-litre DUSC XL top case currently sells for £345.99 including VAT. However, prices for a complete system, including the DUSC case and an Adventure Rack, plus an adapter kit, two EVA inlays, a lid limiter, mounting materials and instructions, will cost you a minimum of £432.99.
