Foggy and Frankie Chili to The Stafford Show

Carl ‘Foggy’ Fogarty and Pierfrancesco ‘Frankie’ Chili are set to descend on the Classic Motorcycle Mechanics Stafford Classic Bike Show this October, as the famous pair of racers look to celebrate an equally famous bike.

The pair have a lot of history, the legendary Ducati 916, with more than 60 race wins on the machine between them, and four World Superbike Championships thanks to Blackburn’s Foggy, there is probably no better pair to help celebrate the model.

The two racers will be taking to the Carole Nash Live Stage where they’ll be chatting about the bikes, race wins, crashes and more than likely the fiery relationship the two have shared. One particular incident is now written into World Superbike folklore and involved Chili lashing out at Foggy in the Parc Ferme after the race at Assen. Chili later rolled into the post-race press conference in a blue dressing gown, accusing Foggy of a number of underhand tactics which led to the two hot-headed riders needing to be pulled apart by journalists and their teams!

Joining the pair on the stage at the event will be the actual race bikes used by the two riders in period - no mention of a blue dressing gown though, which is disappointing.

The Classic Motorcycle Mechanics Stafford Classic Bike Show is taking place from October 12 to 13 2024. Advance online tickets are £16 and £20 on the gate, under 16s are free and there is free parking at the event.
