Bikesafe Wales is back for the summer riding season
The two-day theory and practical workshops will run until October
AS THE weather heats up and the spring riding season begins, BikeSafe has relaunched its rider safety campaign in Wales.
Police motorcycle officers will be teaching two-day theory and practical workshops from now until October in an attempt to reduce the number of crashes on Welsh roads.
Explaining the workshop, coordinator PC Leigh Williams told the South Wales Argus: “It is a national initiative to increase awareness of road safety and decrease accidents.
“We are trying to increase the number of riders who do further advanced riding.
“The first day is with us where you get taught road craft and then go out on the road for advanced input.
"Then day two is with the Institute of Advanced Motorists.
“You find that throughout the day through the little briefings you see a big difference in their confidence and manner of driving.”
