New Kawasaki anniversary colours set for limited production
Kawasaki has completed its 40th anniversary Ninja collection with new colour schemes specifically for the 2024 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10RR
Kawasaki UK has launched three new 40th anniversary colours for the 2024 Kawasaki ZX-10RR, following the launch of anniversary colours for much of the rest of the Ninja range earlier this year.
Like those announced by Kawasaki, on a global scale, at the end of October, the new colours announced by Kawasaki UK are in commemoration of the 40th anniversary of Kawasaki's Ninja range. However, they are only applicable to the 2024 Kawasaki ZX-10RR, meaning they won't be available on the new Kawasaki ZX-4R range, for example, or even seemingly on the Kawasaki ZX-10R - only the ZX-10RR.
The new Kawasaki UK colours have been designed in partnership with Kar Lee Design and inspired, like the previously announced colours, by the last four decades of the Kawasaki Ninja range.
Only 40 2024 ZX-10RRs are available, and each will feature anniversary plates set into the top yokes with a note of the bike's limited production, and an anniversary logo. Customers will be able to take their pick of the three new paint schemes.
Craig Watson, Sales and Marketing Manager at Kawasaki Motors UK, said: “The retro theme has become very popular over the past couple of years, and we thought it would be great to further celebrate 40 years of Ninja with these special liveries commemorating the designs of historic Ninjas from the 90s. We are sure they are going to be very popular, so it’s key that you speak to your local Kawasaki dealer as soon as possible!”
The 2024 Kawasaki ZX-10RR is priced at £26,599 and is available for orders from dealers now.
2024 Kawasaki Ninja 40th Anniversary colours
The Kawasaki Ninja 40th anniversary edition bikes announced today will offer retro paint schemes among other exclusive features.
The 40th anniversary of the Kawasaki Ninja range is being celebrated not only with a special edition paint job on a Kawasaki ZX-10R, but also on some of the other bikes in the Ninja range.
This includes the Kawasaki ZX-4RR and Kawasaki ZX-6R, with the former only having been announced in its standard version earlier this year.
Each of the bikes will be displayed for the first time later this year at the EICMA show in Milan, where they will be shown off in their respective ‘90s-inspired green, white, and blue paint jobs. It is a scheme that was famously run by Kawasaki in the 1990s, and one that was brought back in one-off race schemes in recent years, firstly by the factory Kawasaki team in WorldSBK at 2022’s Argentinian round, and then by the official Kawasaki UK team in British Superbikes, FS-3, who have ran the same colours in the past two years.
Certainly, the paint brings a nostalgic flavour to the bikes, which also each receive 40th anniversary badging on the fuel tank. There are some differences in the livery between the models, but only to match it to the different bodywork of the different models.
Launching alongside the existing 2024 colours for the ZX-10R, ZX-6R, and ZX-4RR respectively, the cost of the 40th anniversary versions of each bike are below.
