New World Record: 54 people on one motorbike
India Army Service Corps motorcycle display team surpass own record set earlier this month
THE LADS at the India Army Service Corps motorcycle display team have set a new World record for maximum number of people on a single motorcycle.
The team managed to shoe-horn 54 people on a 500cc Royal Enfield, surpassing the record of 48 people set by the squad earlier this month.
The new record, set on Sunday the 28th November, saw all 54 'riders' cover a distance of 1.1 km at the Yehlanka Air Force base in Bangalore.
The team says no modifications were carried out to the motorcycle's engine for the record attempt.
