IT’S only a matter of weeks since we rode them at the launch but Triumph’s new 2016 Bonneville T120 and Street Twin have been recalled already over a fire risk.

A DVSA recall notice says the fuel pump sub harness could leak and should be replaced.

The notice says: ‘There is a possibility of a fuel leak via [the] fuel pump sub harness because of a problem with the moulding tool used to manufacture the sub harness. A fuel leak could heighten the risk of fire.’

It says the bikes likely to be affected need to be fitted with a sub harness of a different design.

The recall was launched on March 25 and affects a total of 48 machines built between September 7 and November 11 last year.
