Brand new budget 125 roadster from Rieju
Save the planet with this super-economical 148mpg naked roadster
The budget end of the small bike market is dominated by far Eastern outfits. But there are other options, including Spanish firm Rieju. They've been making slick little 50 and 125cc bikes for decades, and are now back in the UK with a new importer, Three Cross Motorcycles.
They've just released info on this new Strada 125 - a smart little learner-legal roadster with super-low seat (750mm) and featherlight weight (130kg dry). The four-stroke motor has a balance shaft for smooth running, there's an 18-litre fuel tank for hundreds of miles between fill-ups, and a natty digital LCD dashboard. It has CBS combined brakes rather than ABS, which is unusual these days, but still complies with the regs on smaller bikes.
