Norton reveals new Atlas models
The two new motorcycles will go on sale this Saturday
BRITISH MOTORCYCLE MANUFACTURER Norton has pulled the wraps off two new motorcycles in a glitzy event at its Donington Hall HQ last night.
The Atlas Nomad and Atlas Ranger draw inspiration from Norton’s original 750cc Atlas of the 1960s.
These new models reportedly feature a 650cc twin engine – half of Norton's in-house 1200 V-4 motor, with the same heads, valves, pistons, rods and other internals.
While production is much cheaper than that of the V4 models, production is not as high volume as previously expected.
Only 250 of each model are destined for the UK market, and they will go on sale this Saturday at Motorcycle Live. The café racer-styled Nomad is reportedly priced at a very reasonable £9,995, while the scrambler-esque Ranger will cost £11,995.
UK deliveries will commence in May 2019 with European bikes following later in 2019.
