THE addition of the Honda Forza 750 to the range isn’t the only change from Honda this morning. The smaller cousins of the DCT-equipped machine have also been given a refresh for 2021.

True enough, most of the changes are visual tweaks and small updates to bring the now three bike range inline with each other. Although there are some other updates beneath the skin too.

Here’s everything we know about the Honda Forza 125 and Forza 350.

Honda Forza 125 - updates

The styling of the bike has been given a tweak for this year, with the front fairing, side panels, mirrors, rear quarter panels, and engine cover all being tweaked for 2021. The new shape is claimed to improve the bike’s aerodynamics as well as creating a sleeker overall shape.

Beneath the skin, the chassis of the bike remains unchanged, although the engine is now Euro5 compliant and features Honda Selectable Torque Control (traction control) for next year. The motor also gains idling stop and Honda’s eSP tech that maximises the combustion and minimizing friction.

The electric screen on the bike has also been altered and can now be adjusted through 180mm – 40mm more than before. The screen has also been reshaped to improve the comfort of both rider and passenger.

Honda Forza 125 range and efficiency

Honda is claiming the new Forza 125 has a fuel efficiency of 42.7km/l (100mpg). Given that the bike has an 11.5l fuel tank that could equate to a total range of around 300 miles. The thinking is that the average Forza owner should only have to fill up the tank once a week. Obviously, this will be measured on steady town and inner-city riding, but still, 300 miles of motoring for around £12 seems surprisingly good value to me.

Honda Forza 350 updates

The big news for the middle sibling in the Forza family is the increase in capacity from 297 to 330cc. Thanks to this, power has increased from 25bhp to 27.8bhp with peak torque of 20lb-ft at 5,750rpm. The real-world effect is that the top speed of the bike has increased to 85mph.

Like the smaller Forza, the new 350 has also been fitted with an updated screen that is now more sculptured and adjusts through 180mm – 40mm more than before.

The Forza 350 also has the Honda Smartphone Voice Control System available as an option from new. The tech links the rider to their smartphone while on the move through to the TFT dash, allowing voice management of phone calls and music. A helmet-mounted headset is needed and the smartphone connects via Bluetooth; management of Honda Smartphone Voice Control System is from the left switchgear and dash.
