Suzuki 100th Anniversary special edition MotoGP helmet
Suzuki has announced a special edition Arai RX-7X MotoGP replica helmet that strictly limited to 100 units worldwide
TO celebrate its 100th Anniversary, Suzuki has announced a special edition Arai RX-7X that is inspired by the paint scheme of its MotoGP machines.
Strictly limited to 100 units worldwide, the anniversary helmet was first announced in November 2020 and will see 30 sold in Japan, and another 70 sold for the rest of the world.
And this isn’t the sort of lid you can just rock up to your nearest Arai dealer and click to buy. This special product is being sold via a lottery.
Interested parties can apply on the Suzuki Japan website, fill out the form and they will be entered into the draw to win their preferred size of the lid. There are options of medium, large, and extra large options. Once drawn, if your name is pulled out of the hat, Suzuki will be in touch to organise payment and delivery of the lid.
Oh yes, the payment. The Suzuki Japan website has the lid listed at a price of 143,000 yen, which equates to a shade under £1,000. There will likely be some tax to pay on that once it arrives in the UK, but for a limited edition motorcycle helmet, for a Suzuki super-fan’s collection, is price really an issue?
The application for entries opens on January 11th and runs until January 25th. The lottery draw date is January 31st and after that, the winning entries will be posted on the Suzuki website.
