Valentino Rossi’s MotoGP team is the latest to unveil its new colours in 2025, although the word new is optimistic at best as the bikes remain largely the same as 2024.

With a new line-up in 2025 as Franco Morbidelli has come across from Pramac Ducati to replace the outgoing Marco Bezzecchi, Rossi’s 2025 bikes do have subtle changes linked to him.

The 2025 bikes keep hold of the fluorescent yellow, white and red colours that featured in 2024, although the sun and moon design he used for many years on his helmets, plus the famous 46 shadow now sit behind Morbidelli and Fabio Di Giannantonio’s race numbers.

"This year's livery will follow the same concept but with some changes that are so special to me. I hope you like it as much as I do,” said Rossi.

While the flashy livery is retained, as is Di Giannantonio who will be the only non-factory Ducati rider on the latest-spec bike, meaning he will be aboard a 2025 machine like Francesco Bagnaia and Rossi’s long-time foe Marc Marquez.

Morbidelli, who rode the 2024 package last year, will do so again this year as he looks to build on a first season that showed signs of big promise.

“The GP24 is a great bike,” Morbidelli added at the VR46’s team launch in Jakarta. “It was born great, was unbelievably fast from the first tests in Malaysia and won its first race. So I believe a lot in the GP24 package. It’s a great machine, one of the greatest packages we’ve seen.”

Ducati won all but one out of 20 Grand Prix races in 2024, so Morbidelli’s chances of success on that same bike will be high, as will the new expectations placed on Di Giannantonio’s shoulders.
