Over the weekend, Visordown got the awesome opportunity to ride the 2019 BMW S1000RR up the Goodwood hill climb.

Check out the 360 onboard here:

The run took place on day four of the event, with the day starting out with buckets of rain, not the ideal setting to unleash the full potential of the 200+ bhp Superbike on near slick Metzeler tyres on a famously challenging hillcliomb that demands razor focus. Nevertheless, as the day progressed the weather slowly improved, which for the most part resulted in a dry(ish) track - albeit with a few damp spots under the trees.

However, later that afternoon with dirt still on the tyres from the morning run in the soaking wet, the main aim of the climb was to finish shiny side up. Even with the incredible BMW electronics Goodwood is a high-profile setting to get it wrong on what is a wonderful machine so we played it with the Dynamic riding mode was activated. Nevertheless, whilst the wheelies were meagre and we could only pound a few rev bombs, you still get a real feel for the BMW S1000RR's sporting pedigree without touching the limit.

In typical Visordown fashion, we wanted to take you along for the experience, so mount up and join Harry McKenzie as he navigates the super tight but super fun Goodwood hill climb course for the first time.
