Kawasaki Becomes Official Motorcycle Supplier at Tour de France
Kawasaki will be the official motorcycle supplier for the biggest cycling race in the world until the end of 2027

Kawasaki is going to support the Tour de France as well as other cycling races, after it agreed to a new three-year deal to become the official motorcycle supplier until 2027.
The deal between Kawasaki and the Amaury Sport Organisation (A.S.O), means the new 2025 Versys 1100 has been selected as an official machine for the first year of the partnership.
This also marks Kawasaki's renewed involvement with the world’s most famous cycling race, as its relationship with the Tour de France dates back to the mid-1980s with models such as the GTR1000 and, more recently, the 1400GTR playing pivotal roles.
The release from Tour de France officials states that “45 Versys 1100 motorbikes will be involved in ensuring the smooth running of cycling races, contributing to safety, resupply, and media coverage”.
According to race organisers, the Versys 1100’s versatility is the main reason it’s been chosen to support the Tour de France and other major cycling events.

With cyclists achieving fast speeds on descents and through twisty corners, as well as going over cobbled sections, a motorcycle at home across different terrain and technical roads is needed.
The Versys 1100 is expected to take on these challenges at races like the Liège-Bastogne-Liège and La Vuelta, in addition to the Tour de France.
Shigemi Tanaka, President of Kawasaki Motors Europe, said: “Kawasaki has always been associated with the color green, which perfectly aligns with our commitment to clean, green energy, alternative fuels, and transport innovation. The Tour de France, along with the 21 other events we’ll be part of, offers a global platform for showcasing human and mechanical performance in an ecologically responsible environment. We are proud to rekindle our relationship with world-class cycling and promote our products and ideals.”
The 2025 Tour de France gets underway on 5 July and ends on 27 July.
