Ageing Suzuki SV650 Rejuvenated With Three New Colours

One of its most well-known Japanese bikes and one that has undergone very little change since its first release in 1999, the Suzuki SV650 now has three new fancy colours to choose from. For Suzuki lovers, the SV650 is just about as good as it gets. It’s known as a bike that can do it all and serves a purpose for many different riding styles and abilities.

And now, you can buy the SV650 in a new stunning blue and black livery, while two similar colourways in black are also available. One has been dubbed Metallic Matt Black No.2, with the other called Pearl Matt Shadow Green / Metallic Matt Black No.2.

One of the best middleweights of its generation, the SV650 has not needed much in the way of updates, thus Suzuki have duly obliged to that narrative and left it as original as possible. Despite getting on a bit, the SV650 remains a very popular bike, for both new riders and those with a wealth of two-wheel experience.

In a world where everything has gone through the roof financially - I won’t go there with the cost of living… that’s a touchy subject - the SV650 still is a very, very affordable bike coming in at £7,399 brand new. Powered by its V-twin engine, the SV650 has cemented itself over the years as a bike full of character, and for good reason.

In our most recent review of the SV650, Suzuki’s ability to build a bike that hasn’t needed much change was evident. In fact, there was very little we didn’t like as the adjusted seat height was more accessible, the rear shock was a clear hit as was the throttle response which was smooth but at the same time instantaneous. The SV650 has an output of 75bhp, top speed of around 130mph and 47Ib ft of Torque.
