BMW M1000 RR WSBK Champion Competition Model Honours Toprak
Toprak Razgatlioglu’s first WorldSBK title with BMW has been celebrated with a limited edition BMW M1000 RR WSBK Champion model, that’s available in just 54 units
BMW recently took the covers off its all-new M1000 RR, S1000 RR, M1000 R and S1000 R models for 2025, but another new, albeit very limited edition M1000 RR M Competition package has been churned out by the German company as it celebrates its first-ever WorldSBK championship win.
A bike presented to honour Toprak Razgatlioglu, who took BMW to the title in just his first season aboard the M1000 RR, has been produced in just 54 units although only 52 can be bought by the public.
Number 01/54 is heading to Toprak himself while the number 54/54 will be kept at BMW’s museum in the near future. The limited edition M1000 RR M Competition WSBK Champion model contains everything spec-wise that the standard does, meaning its twin-cylinder boxer engine with a displacement of 999cc produces a mighty 218bhp and 83Ib ft of torque, reaching speeds up to 195mph.
The suspension is also the same as before, featuring a 45mm upside-down, fully adjustable fork. The rear comprises an aluminium swing arm, full floater pro (which is a rear shock mount with two contact points that enables the shock to ‘float’ in the air through its entire range of motion) adjustable compression and rebound damping and adjustable spring preload.
Every unit of the M RR WSBK Champion edition for 2024 is equipped with the original design and sponsor stickers of the factory racing machines. Various carbon components are features on the bike including the tank cover, frame, swingarm, wiring harness, and clutch cover, as well as fairing parts, an exhaust heat shield, and a carbon number plate holder.
Additionally, buyers of the special edition will receive a voucher for a matching Akrapovic Evolution Line titanium exhaust system and a chance to personally meet with world champion Toprak Razgatlıoglu in person. All 54 bikes have also been signed by the rider.
The M Competition package includes the activation code for using the M GPS Laptrigger, the M Motorsport paintwork with the standard Blackstorm metallic colour, and the DLC-coated M Endurance chain.
"Wow, what a season and we became world champions,” said Razgatlioglu at the launch of the bike. “I can't thank BMW Motorrad, my team, and everyone involved in this fantastic success enough, and it is a great honour for me to receive the number one of the M RR WSBK Champion edition 2024. It will definitely have a place of honour at my home."
Razgatlioglu’s first season with BMW saw him break the all-time consecutive race win record as he claimed 13 victories in succession before missing the French round due to injury. The former Yamaha rider finished the year with a total of 18 wins.
