Brough Superior has revealed a collaboration with the watchmaker Richard Mille, with the limited-edition motorcycle set to be revealed later this year.

While we have no images of the bike, we can tell you it’s going to be called the RMB 01, with Brough stating it will be “Far more than a motorcycle, it's a work of art that combines craftsmanship, technological innovation, and heritage.”

The new bike will be fully revealed on July 3, at the 12th edition of the Le Mans Classic event in France, an event which Richard Milles is already a primary sponsor of.

With little else known about the bike, we can but speculate as to how its going to shape up. It could be a more traditional-looking Brough and built around the retro-looking SS100 platform. It could, though, go the opposite direction and take on a whole more avant-garde aesthetic. Brough recently worked with Aston Martin to produce the AMB 001. Given the nomenclature used by Brough in confirming the arrival of the Richard Mille bike, we could be seeing another variant of the track-only, turbo-charged model getting unveiled.

Whatever it turns out to be, the chances of seeing one on the road will be slim, as just 150 examples of the new bike are heading to production. Add to that the already expensive price tag of Brough’s standard models (which start at around £50,000), and the Richard Mille bikes will most likely be heading off to a dusty collection somewhere, rarely set to see the light of day.
