Carl Fogarty to open Ducati motorcycle dealership
Carl Fogarty will be heading down to Ducati Worcester this weekend to cut the ribbon on the newest Ducati store in the UK
THE doors at Ducati Worcester are about to be flung open for the first time this weekend (22nd September) and TT and WSBK legend Carl Fogarty is heading along to cut the ribbon.
The new showroom is opening on Castle Street, Worcester and will be holding an open house for the day. Carl will be on stage regaling the crowds with stories of his World Superbike and TT days, with Wayne Kershaw as the compere.
There are also free demos being offered and potential visitors are being urged to take their licences along with them on the day. Catering is provided and there are to be raffles and prizes on the day with special opening offers available on this day only.
Doors open at 10am and the doors close at 5:30pm.
Carl has a long history with the famous Italian marque, racing for them in WSBK on the stunning 916. That machine was Ducati’s most successful ever in the series, winning 120 races, 8 constructors' titles and 6 riders' titles. Four of those came with ‘King’ Carl at the helm. The likeable Englishman has won 55 races with Ducati, of which 43 were riding a Ducati 916 SBK and 996 SBK. "King Carl" and the 916 remain the most successful pairing in Ducati SBK history.
To honour the partnership, Ducati recently unveiled a tribute to the iconic 916. The limited run of just 500 Ducati V4 25° Anniversario 916s already has one reserved, as bike No. 5 is being sold to support the family of the late Carlin Dunne.
