Track tutoring from BSB riders! BMW Motorrad UK Performance Academy launched

WHETHER you’re looking to hone your track day skills or develop them by learning from the very best in the UK, BMW Motorrad has today announced its UK Performance Academy with courses starting in Spring 2022.

Utilising the BMW Motorrad range - including the M 1000 RR, S 1000 RR & S 1000 R, and F 900 R - riders will head for Anglesey Race Circuit in North Wales for track day sessions with small numbers of riders.

There will be four different courses, each set up to develop a varying level of riding skills to become a faster, safer, and more accomplished rider.

Level 1 is for those new to track riding, Levels 2 & 3 in the middle, and adds real-time feedback via Bluetooth comms (plus video footage from the instructor bike!), and lastly the M experience for those who fancy a taste of the M 1000 RR, and the very best advice from pros to sharpen their skills.

Courses will be in high demand, in part as numbers per session will be kept to a minimum for in-depth tuition, as BMW Motorrad UK National Marketing and PR Manager Scott Grimsdall explains:

“We wanted to keep the school quite intimate and the groups relatively small to deliver a premium yet relaxed and supportive experience. Every rider will benefit from quality time with the instructors.”

Participants will be trained by a team of British Superbike Championship stars who currently race - or have previously raced aboard - BMW motorcycles.

Hosting the riders will be the Anglesey race circuit in North Wales, using the venue’s thrilling 1.55-mile Coastal layout. It’s a flowing yet technical track suitable for all levels, featuring a variety of sweeping corners, hairpins, and changes of elevation to maximise the learning experience.

The BMW Performance Academy is being launched at this year's Motorcycle Live Show at the Birmingham NEC, and more information (and booking info) is available at the show.
