Ducati returns to EICMA… so EICMA returns the favour
Ducati will return to exhibit its latest models at the 2022 EICMA Motorcycle Show on 8-15 November, with EICMA returning the favour at World Ducati Week
The 2022 EICMA Motorcycle Show will go ahead with one of the industry’s leading names front and centre of its exhibition space after Ducati confirmed it will return to the show following its absence in 2021.
The industry’s biggest and most visited show dedicated to motorcycles, the Milan event returned to the social calendar in 2021 after a one-year hiatus brought on by COVID-19 but did so without a handful of its most prominent brands, most notably Ducati.
Together with BMW and KTM, Ducati opted against funnelling resources into an EICMA showpiece to reveal its updated 2022 MY range in favour of releasing a series of videos of its most significant forthcoming models - including the Ducati DesertX - on the internet over the course of a few weeks.
However, while proclaiming it to be a success in terms of engagement, Ducati will revert back to a physical demonstration of its latest models with a spot at EICMA, which will go ahead on 8 - 13 November 2022.
As a result, EICMA will be returning the favour on 22 - 24 July when it joins the exhibitor list for World Ducati Week (WDW).
“An extraordinary and unmissable opportunity - said Giacomo Casartelli, Executive Director of EICMA - to keep the attention on our event alive and enjoy the occasion together with all the fans of the Red bikes of Borgo Panigale, who are also fans and visitors of EICMA.
“We are happy to be able to do it in a place rich in significance, where the heart beats fast for motorcycles and, above all, for that special Italian know-how interpreted with excellence by Ducati.
“At the same time, we are delighted that this collaboration will continue during the 2022 edition of the International two-wheel exhibition."
Ducati also confirmed it will continue to develop its ‘webisode’ format alongside its scheduled presence at EICMA, in lieu of a single ‘Ducati World Premiere’ event in the days leading up to the Italian show during which the company presented its updated model range at the same time in a live stream.
