Quite possibly the coolest form of MotoGP paddock transport has arrived in 2024, as the Italjet Dragster Gresini Edition is launched.
The bike came about after Italjet and Gresini became partners earlier this year, the inevitable result was a MotoGP replica of the Gresini GP16 MotoGP Ducati, adorning what is arguably the coolest-looking scooter you can buy. Well, it didn’t take long for it to arrive, and as expected, it looks bloomin’ gorgeous!
The bike is available now and comes in two flavours: a standard bike, and a more exclusive limited edition version. The stock machine is available in 125, 200 and 300cc displacements, and is finished in the characteristic livery of the Gresini Racing Team. The limited edition version is said to be “reserved for true two-wheel enthusiasts and the most demanding collectors”. That bike is a numbered edition of just 75 units and is only available with 300cc displacement.
And there’s more, because the limited edition machine gains Ohlins suspension front and rear, an Akrapovic exhaust system, a rear seat pod with MotoGP style wings (as per the GP16 ridden in 2024 by Marc and Alex Marquez) and finally a special hologram as confirmation of the bike's authenticity, proving it be one of the official machines endorsed by the Gresini Racing Team.
Speaking at the time of the partnership with Gresini, and before the launch of the new model, Massimo Tartarini, President and CEO of Italjet, said:

This partnership will also lead to the development of a Dragster Replica with Team Gresini’s colours. The Dragster, which we define as an Urban Superbike, is an ode to sport and its values.”
