2024 Kawasaki ZX-4RR Superteens bike set for Thruxton demo laps
A race-prepped Kawasaki ZX-4RR will be demo'd at Thruxton at this weekend's British Superbike round with Lee Jackson riding it.
Lee Jackson will ride a race-prepped version of the Kawasaki ZX-4RR this weekend at the British Superbike round at Thruxton in demo laps for the upcoming Kawasaki British Superteens series that will begin next year.
Taking place at the ultra-high-speed Thruxton circuit in Hampshire, Jackson should certainly be able to stretch the legs of the Kawasaki ZX-4RR during his demo laps, which should also be fairly enjoyable for those watching from trackside thanks to the high-revving 399cc, four-cylinder motor.
Ross Burridge, Head of Marketing & Racing Department at Kawasaki UK, said: “The response to the new class was unbelievable at Brands Hatch, and interest in the bike from potential racers, the media and fans alike has been overwhelming. We know that everyone wants to hear what one sounds like on track this weekend, and the thought of a full grid of Ninjas at full throttle will be an enticing one for sure!
“We also want to reiterate the importance of registering yourself as an entrant as well as with MSS Performance so that you can be at the front of the queue when it comes to having your new race bike built and ready for testing!”
The new Superteens series will come in next year to replace the 300-class Junior Supersport category, with the much-anticipated Kawasaki ZX-4RR being the single form of machinery to be used. Kawasaki says that over 30 riders have already showed an interest in competing in the championship.
MSS Colchester will prepare the bikes in two different specs, which can be designated simply as ‘less expensive’ and ‘more expensive’ options, as the series tries to help young riders find their way in the BSB paddock.
