Greenlight confirmed as Isle of Man TT host broadcaster

A CONSORTIUM led by Manx production company Greenlight Television has been confirmed as host broadcaster for the TT and Classic TT commencing this year. It is a five-year deal which includes support from Isle of Man based satellite broadcaster SES and Duke Marketing.

In a lengthy and, ultimately, controversial tender process Greenlight was awarded the contract over the  existing producer North One, part of the US Liberty group.

Greenlight boss Dave Benyon admitted they had big boots to fill in a very short time but a number of things were already in place. In their nine years of absence they had been covering other events all round the world and are confident of what could be delivered especially with the help of Duke Marketing, operator of the TT website for 17 years and SES, one of the biggest satellite distributors on the world.

They would produce 16 features for distribution out of TT time, give much more time to actual racing at the Classic Festival and get increased coverage for the Southern 100.
