Lorenzo fractured both ankles in the huge crash

YAMAHA’S JORGE Lorenzo has had a massive highside in the first free practice
session for this Sunday’s MotoGP race in Shanghai, China that early reports
are suggesting has left him with two fractured ankles and will not be able to race on Sunday.

Lorenzo has also suffered a badly cut right knee. Lorenzo has been
transferred to the Huashan Hospital where tests will take place to determine just how
bad the injuries are.

Team boss Daniele Romagnoli said: "At the moment I do not believe that Jorge
is able to race because he has so much pain in his ankles.”
