Marquez dominates soaking wet warm-up

Taped up left shoulder or not, Marc Marquez was in scintillating form in MotoGP morning warm-up at Valencia, the recently crowned world champion leading the way by a hefty 0.8s.

No one could live with the speed of the 25-year old, who suffered a left shoulder contusion in qualifying yesterday, with only Aleix Espargaro (second) and Valentino Rossi (third) capable of lapping the Valencia track within one second of Marquez's personal best.

Rossi was another to shake off his issues during dry qualifying, with the Italian a strong third, 0.9s back of Marquez’s best, and 0.1s back of surprise package Espargaro.
