Pedrosa admits Ducati talks
Repsol Honda man needs to know more about Desmosedici racer before jumping ship
DANI PEDROSA has spoken about being approached by Ducati to ride for the Italian team next year.
He said: "Yes, we have had some contact, simply that. They are interested.
"At the moment the thing for me is that there is nothing new. There is nothing concrete. I do not know what is the positive points or the negative points about the Ducati but it is necessary for me to know this before I can decide what id the bike that will be raced next year.
"Yamaha already have the motorcycle they are going to race next year and I need to know what is going to happen with the motorcycle I race next year also.
"I have seen the Ducati with Stoner on it and it goes well, it is very fast but with the other riders it is not as fast.
"Between Honda and Yamaha the change is not much although between remaining at Honda and leaving to Ducati seems like the risk is about the same.
"As far as Honda goes, the important thing is that when we finish the last race at Valencia the motorcycle which we start the testing with is already a good one, not like it was in other times when we have so much to work on with the bike that we don't have a good base. Also it is important that I do not damage myself over the winter."
So Ducati or Honda? Seem to still be pretty much up in the air for the Spanish Smurf.
