TEAM Alstare and Ducati have signed an agreement to run in World Superbikes for two years.

Team Ducati Alstare will run with Carlos Checa and Ayrton Badovini. Francis Batta’s Belgian squad are commonly known for their association with Suzuki but started with Ducati back in 1992 when Alstare Racing was formed by Batta who was formerly General Manager of the Superbike World Championship.

Speaking to the press, Batta said: “For me, it’s an absolute thrill to be able to join the Ducati family again. Together, we were so successful in the past and Ducati remains a reference brand for me today. We are going to face a challenge which is highly stimulating both for me and for my team and we will apply our absolute best efforts to making sure this is a successful endeavour.”
