Rossi wants to race Biaggi in WSB
It's just a shame Ducati don't have a WSB entry in 2011
VALENTINO ROSSI was quick to congratulate old rival Max Biaggi on his hard-won World Superbike Championship ... but now he wants to race him again.
Rossi repeated his hopes of taking part in at least one Superbike race next season.
Rossi and Biaggi first raced against each other in 2000 but their bitter rivalry had started way before this. In 1997, Max Biaggi was rumoured to be dating Naomi Campbell and Valentino Rossi celebrated a win with an inflatable doll with 'Claudia Schiffer' scribbled on the back.
Earlier this year, Rossi tested a World Superbike-spec R1 at Misano as part of his recovery program after he broke his leg at Mugello just weeks earlier.
In 2008, there were rumours that Bayliss would take on Rossi in a Superbike showdown. Bayliss was reported to want £1m to race but the showdown never happened, with Yamaha allegedly not allowing their MotoGP star to deviate from his duties.
Rossi is keen to race in World Superbikes, if only for one event. He was tied down by Yamaha, but Ducati are more PR-savvy. If it's going to happen, it would be more likely with Ducati. It's just a shame they don't have a factory squad in 2011.
