After the introduction of the XDiavel 1260 in 2016 (five years after the first Diavel landed), which was the first of its kind as a muscle cruiser in the Italian brand’s X range, the all-new Ducati XDiavel V4 will do the same in May 2025 as production of the new bike will see it hit the European market first.

Taking the XDiavel range to places it's never been before is the V4 Granturismo engine that’s derived from its Desmosedici bikes used in MotoGP.

Capable of producing more power than any XDiavel from the past, the new V4 model features a reworked design, with its new headlight one of the most noticeable changes. The styling is similar to that of the Diavel V4, while the claimed 168bhp from its thumping 1,158cc power unit and 92.5lb ft of torque means it’s very close to that of the current generation Diavel V4.

The 2025 XDiavel V4 weighs 229kg which makes it a considerable 6kg lighter than the old 1260 model, and most of that is from the engine and chassis. At the front, suspension comes by way of a 50mm, fully adjustable front fork, with a fully adjustable monoshock at the rear working alongside the obligatory single-sided swingarm. The braking system comes from Brembo, with Stylema calipers chomping down on hefty 330mm discs at the front end.

The XDiavel V4 thanks to its vast electronics package offers traction control (DTC), Ducati Wheelie Control (DWC), ABS cornering, launch control and Ducati Quick Shift (DQS) 2.0.

All electronic systems are easily managed via the backlit controls on the handlebars and the new 6.9-inch TFT colour dashboard with 8:3 aspect ratio, which also offers Bluetooth connectivity with the smartphone for calls, text messages and music, and supports the turn-by-turn navigation system (available as an accessory) via the Ducati Link App.

Not just an impressive piece of kit which we spoke about when the new 2025 XDiavel V4 was revealed in February, customers can also benefit from a wide selection of customisation parts including a central repositioning kit for the rider footpegs, raised or lowered seats, and a semi-rigid 48-litre cases with body-coloured covers that includes a passenger backrest and integrated side handles.

The offer is completed by a homologated exhaust, with cover and four titanium end caps, and a single-seater tailpiece that can be mounted in place of the passenger seat.
