Jack Kennedy Snubs British Superbike for Supersport Title Defence in 2025
Jack Kennedy will remain in British Supersport next season as he aims to make it six title wins, including back-to-back wins for Honda
Jack Kennedy, a five-time British Supersport champion, is the most successful rider in the UK-based series, and he will look to extend his achievements by securing a second crown with Honda Racing UK in 2025, despite having the chance to step up to British Superbike once again.
Kennedy has been a familiar face to the Superbike class in recent seasons, however, he’s failed to achieve the same results and is yet to win a race in BSB.
But in the Supersport class, Kennedy has made winning look very easy at times and the opportunity to stay aboard the CBR600RR in 2025 was too good an offer to pass up. Kennedy was given the option of testing the CBR600RR and the Superbike-spec CBR1000RR-R this winter.
The reason for Kennedy remaining in British Supersport is based on the enjoyment he gets from racing with Honda, but also in the middleweight class.
Confirming his plans for 2025, Kennedy said: “Firstly I want to thank Honda for giving me the chance to test before making my decision. I’ve said it before, but it really is a unique situation to be in and I am very grateful.
“I’m excited to announce that I will be staying in Supersport next year. I can’t look beyond how happy I have been racing this year in one of the best teams I have ever raced for and loving every minute of it.
“At this moment in time, in my career and personally, this decision suits me better. The Supersport class is only getting bigger and stronger and I have absolute confidence in myself and Honda to bring home back-to-back titles.”
