Mini Trike Gets the Sketchiest Upgrade imaginable, a 1000cc engine

The 1000cc engine has been well and truly stuffed into Shred Eighty’s Honda three-wheeled mini trike, and it sounds as bonkers as you would expect

The more you watch, the crazier it gets with this Honda three-wheeler built by YouTube channel Shred Eighty, which has just received a 1000cc, 180bhp engine.

The big capacity motor has been placed directly in front of the rider, which alone looks terrifying, but when detailing it, the guys in charge admitted limited tools and a month’s worth of work went into the build, which I'm not going to lie, doesn’t fill me with particularly great confidence.

The build was built by Bummotorsports, with Gavin Carlson the man behind the dream of having this bonkers trike come into reality. The American gets the chance to give the bike its maiden ride, but not before it receives an ear-shattering start-up.

Mounted on some very sketchy looking tyres, Carlson nearly comes off the mini trike straight away as the power-to-weight ratio means wheelies on this thing are going to happen whether you like it or not.

There were concerns that, despite testing the bike for a very short period of time in a secluded industrial area, the mechanic behind this build thought the key for the brake had come off. But upon double checking, everything appeared to still be in place.

One of the biggest challenges Carlson faces, aside from the fact that the thing wanted to raise its front tyre at every opportunity, is that it wants to veer right which makes handling the mini trike very difficult indeed. When he sets off for a fast run on a straight, it sounds beautiful before another scare takes place, this time from the rear.

But that’s enough from me, watch the video below to see just how crazy this 1000cc-stuffed mini trike really is. I don’t know about you, but there’s no way I would jump aboard this death machine.
