The 2025 KTM 390 Adventure Could be the Most Focused Yet
The KTM 390 Adventure is due an update in 2025, and the Austrians don’t appear to be messing about judging by its new, more focused aesthetic
A new, slimmer and more focused-looking KTM 390 Adventure is on the way for 2025, as shown by footage taken in India and published by adventure_journey_ on Instagram.
Why India? KTM’s industrial relationship with Bajaj means the Austrians’ bike is built there, and for 2025 it looks as though it will be a quite different bike — in the case of the 390 Adventure — to that which has come before.

It is all clear from the front, which is much slimmer than before thanks to a new vertically-oriented headlight which appears to be the direction KTM is going in for its newest generation of adventurers. Additionally, the front mudguard is high enough to give the bike a rally-style look, itself amplified by the navigation-tower-style dashboard which the new 390 will apparently share with the upcoming KTM 990 Adventure that, if the 890 Adventure it replaces is anything to go by, will surely be among the best sub-1000cc adventure bikes when it eventually launches.
2024 KTM 390 Duke.
The new adventure-rally look is built on the updated 390 base debuted by this year’s 390 Duke. That means an updated steel trellis frame, a new curved aluminium swingarm, and Euro5+ homologation for the 399cc single-cylinder motor. That engine also has improved performance in the latest version of the 390 Duke, with 44bhp and 29lb ft compared to the previous 42bhp and 27lb ft, although it’s uncertain whether these figures will be shared with the new Adventure.
With the relatively finalised look of the ‘25 390 Adventure shown in the video above, it shouldn’t be too long until we find out for sure, and an Autumn 2024 reveal is expected.
