Also refreshed for 2025 is Yamaha's A1-license-friendly NMax 125 model, which despite the updates, has been cut by £178 off its RRP price.

That means the 2025 NMax 125 is now just £3,600, while the Tech Max 125 costs £3,900 in both the Ceramic Grey and Dark Magma colourways.

Featuring a newly-designed body and dual-eye headlights, the entry-level NMax 125 model includes improved ergonomics, and practical features like 25-litres of underseat storage, keyless ignition, and a USB-C charging port.

The updated scooter, which becomes available in January 2025, features a single-cylinder power unit that is fully compliant with Euro5+ standards and courtesy of its fuel saving stop-start technology, Yamaha claims the urban scooter will deliver up to 185 miles of range from its 7.1-litre tank.

The Tech Max version of the NMax 125 is not available until May next year, so although a bit of waiting time is needed, its impressive extras include a 4.2 full-colour TFT dash with Bluetooth connectivity, an option for Garmin navigation and a very comfortable-looking leather seat with gold stitching.

The two scooters will use the same 13-inch wheels and feature non-adjustable forks at the front and twin shocks at the rear. Braking comprises hydraulic 230mm discs front and rear, which are supported by ABS. The two models will produce the same 12bhp at 8000rpm and 8.2Ib ft of torque at 6000rpm. Traction control is also featured and it comes as standard.

Regarding the chassis set-up, the front suspension fork includes 100mm of travel, while the rear has 91mm. Wet weight for both scooters comes in at 132kg, while a seat height of 770mm means flat-flooting shouldn’t be a concern for most riders. The NMax 125 will return roughly 125mpg.
